Summary
Ignition is the best roulette casino for US players. It's a solid casino with a reliable history, and offers a decent selection of roulette tables including live roulette.
The only downside is that it doesn't offer French Roulette (which has the lowest house edge of all the roulette variants). But aside from that, you can't do better than Ignition Casino if you live in the US.
Payouts are well-known for being reliable here, and it's an all-round dependable operation.

Ignition Casino was launched in 2016, but its roots stretch all the way back to 2000 (and beyond).
Basically, in 2000 an online gambling website called Bodog.com was launched. Throughout the 2000's they built a reputation for being a reliable sportsbook, poker room and casino, and continued to accept US players during the time when many other companies were pulling out of the US market in 2006 (due to the UIGEA).
They've always been an independent company.
Anyway, in 2011 the domain was rebranded to Bovada. Then in 2016 Ignition Casino was launched, and US players were moved from Bovada to Ignition Casino. Along the way the Bodog domain came back too, but as a non-US operation only. So effectively, Ignition Casino is now the US-facing brand for the same company that started as Bodog.com back in 2000:
- Bodog - The original brand started in 2000. Non-US facing.
- Bovada - The rebrand from 2011. US facing. Sportsbook, poker room, and casino.
- Ignition - The latest brand started in 2016. US facing. Poker room and casino only.
So whilst it appears to be a new site on the market, Ignition Casino actually has a deep-rooted history.
It's also worth mentioning that the casino started life in 2016 licensed by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission, but the same year the KGC were put under pressure by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement to force their licencees to stop accepting US players. As a result, Ignition chose to operate without a license so they could continue to service US players.
Like I say… they've always been an independent company.
So now we have an online casino that accepts US players, and does so by self-regulating without a license. This might put some people off, but it's a decision they've made so they can continue to accept US players like they've always done.
And despite not having an official license, they're still one of the best
I happily recommend them to you.

Website: Good
The Ignition Casino website is pleasant. It's easy to navigate and all the games are laid out in a responsive grid.
There's not much else to say about the design than that. It combines elements of simplicity and style, but it doesn't really excel in either direction. They've made good use of color and space though, so it's hardly an abomination to look at.
They make a pleasant use of shades of gray.
The actual casino games open up in a different template to the rest of the site, which is usually a sign that not too much effort has gone in to integrating the games in to the overall web design. But that's just me nit-picking from a web-developer's perspective; in practical terms it's not an issue.
Lastly, I like how they list your "Most Played" games in a vertical list on the side — it makes it much easier to get back to your regular games.
Overall the website design is fine. I know it's terrible English to use words like "nice" and "fine" to describe anything, but that's exactly what it is. The website works well, but you're not going to be framing a screenshot of it and hanging it above your fireplace.
You can play all of the casino games at Ignition for free without having to create an account. Click "X" when it asks you to create an account and it will take you to the game anyway.
Mobile: Good
- Mobile: Yes
- iPhone App: No
- Android App: No
Ignition Casino works well on mobile. It's just the same responsive website design as on desktop, so it works on smaller resolutions too.
The only downside is that they've sacrificed some navigation on smaller screens (as opposed to rearranging it), so you can't whittle down the games by category like you can on the desktop. Instead you have to scroll through all the games on offer to find what you're looking for.
But other than that, it looks good and loads fast, and I'll take a fast-loading mobile casino over some mildly helpful navigation any day.
They also offer a selection of casino games by providers that have been designed specifically to work well on mobile, so you're not going to be stuck with playing awkward smaller-scale versions of games that are only meant for desktop. They're not explicitly tagged as "mobile friendly" though, so you'll just need to try each of them out to find the ones that work best on your device.
So yes, Ignition Casino is good on mobile.
Games: Okay
Roulette Variants:
- Live Roulette: Yes
- Racetrack: Yes
- La Partage / En Prison: No
Providers:
Ignition Casino has an okay selection of roulette games. They have both European and American roulette, but unfortunately they do not offer the French roulette variant (which has the lowest house edge of 1.35%).
They also do not have any non-standard variants of roulette either (such as Three Wheel roulette, Mini Roulette, etc.).
Still, it's the best selection you're going to find at a reliable US-facing casino, as other US casinos like Bookmaker only offer American roulette (which has the worst house edge of 5.26%).
They also offer two versions of the same European and American roulette games developed by the same software provider (Real Time Gaming). This may seem a bit redundant at first, but the one version looks best on desktop and and the others are optimized to work best on mobile.
Real Time Gaming provide my favorite design of online roulette, and they're only found at a handful of online casinos. So that's a plus for Ignition Casino in my book.
Furthermore they have a Live Casino with a selection of different croupiers to choose from (and also a live auto-roulette version if you don't want to have to look at another human being whilst you're gambling). Not bad.
So in summary, Ignition Casino has a respectable offering of roulette games, and the games they do offer are from the best software provider in the business. The only downside is they don't have French roulette.
Banking: Good
- Deposit Time: Instant
- Payout Time: 1-2 Days
Ignition Casino was one of the first traditional online casinos to start accepting bitcoin as a deposit and withdrawal option in 2016, and it is now the primary method encouraged by the casino.
They also offer the option of depositing via Credit Card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), but this is not available as a withdrawal option, so you will have to make do with a check in the mail instead.
Ultimately, bitcoin is the preferred method for getting money in to and out of Ignition Casino. I know it seems scary if you've never used it before, but it makes payment processing much easier for both you and them.
Deposits and withdrawals using cryptocurrency are faster, cheaper, and more reliable than the old-school payment methods, so it's understandable why modern online casinos prefer it.
Withdrawals are processed in a timely manner, with crypto withdrawals almost always being processed in under 24 hours.
They do offer withdrawals via check, but really you should be aiming toward using bitcoin where possible as it's just faster and easier moving forward.
I strongly recommend against using Bitcoin Cash. It's essentially a clone of Bitcoin, but with without the technical backing of the original. You can transact with it if you like, but I don't hold out much hope for it's future.
Balances are not held in cryptocurrency at Ignition Casino. Cryptocurrencies are converted to USD when you make a deposit.
You may be asked to verify your identity before making a deposit. This is perfectly normal. If anything I prefer it when casinos ask for your identity before depositing as opposed to asking for it when you come to withdraw.
Bonus: Okay
- 6 months
- 25x Bonus Amount
Winnings Trap. You will forfeit all winnings if you make a withdrawal before meeting the wagering requirements for the bonus.
Ignition Casino offer a headline welcome bonus of up to $3,000 for all new players. However, this is comprised of two separate bonuses:
- $1,500 bonus in the casino.
- $1,500 in the poker room.
I'm just going to be focusing on the casino bonus here.
Example
Let's say we make a deposit of $1,000. The bonus is matched to 150% of our deposit amount, giving us the maximum $1,500 bonus amount available (150% x $1,000 = $1,500
). This is added to our account within 5 minutes, and we now have 6 months to try and redeem the full bonus amount.
The wagering requirement is 25x
, so we need to wager 25 x $1,500 = $37,500
to be able to withdraw the bonus money and any winnings.
However, if we're playing roulette, our bets will only count 5% toward the wagering requirement (which discounts our contribution), so in effect the total requirement is 500x
, so 500 x $1,500 = $750,000
.
The chances are slim that you will be able to wager this amount of money without going broke, but you might enjoy trying.
Contribution table
Game | Contribution | Total Wagering Requirement |
---|---|---|
Slots | 100% | 25x |
Table Games | 20% | 125x |
Video Poker | 10% | 250x |
Roulette | 5% | 500x |
Blackjack | 5% | 500x |
Baccarat | 5% | 500x |
Craps | 0% | |
Live Dealer | 0% |
Always be aware of the contribution each game makes toward the bonus in the terms and conditions. Most casino bonuses discount bets made at table games because they have a lower house edge, so it would be easier to reach the wagering requirement by playing them (because you're risking less money along the way).
Slots warning. As with most casino bonuses, slots helps you to meet the wagering requirements more quickly, which tempts you in to using the bonus money to play slots (obviously). I would avoid doing this however, as slots are designed to be addictive.
Support: Good
- Live Chat
- [email protected]
- n/a
Support at Ignition Casino is better than you'll find at most online casinos.
From my experience you get a response from a real human being on Live Chat in a few minutes, and emails are replied to the same day. Everyone I've spoken to has been friendly and knowledgeable.
Anyway, email uses a ticketing system, which a sign they systemized their support service. They also host their own forum for some reason, and it's not something I've seen anywhere else. It's a nice touch.
Overall, support is good. And like other good operators with the same industry experience as Ignition, the chances are that you won't need to use it.
Contact details are slightly hidden at Ignition. You have to click "No" at the bottom of a help page when it asks "Did you find what you were looking for?" so that you can be taken to the various contact options. I understand why they do it — to try and encourage people to find answers to the most common questions in their knowledge base — but I prefer it when casinos make support more easily available.
Conclusion: A+
I like Ignition Casino a lot, and I would highly recommend them to any US player looking to play casino games for real money online.
They have the best selection of roulette games (and other casino games) you're going to find for a reliable US accepting casino. Most other US friendly casinos I see are fly-by-night operations that do not have half the integrity of the people behind Ignition.
The only downside is that they do not offer French roulette (only European and American), but they make up for that by being a casino you can trust.
Bookmaker is another excellent option for a US casino, but their casino isn't as good as the one offered by Ignition.
They're host to one of the biggest online poker rooms too, which is worth a look. I'm a big fan of online poker because it's actually possible to win money from it, so it's worth trying it out if you get bored of playing classic casino games (which you cannot beat over the long run).
The easiest way to get money in and out of Ignition is via Bitcoin, and it's worth the effort getting started with it if you've not used it before. They do offer the option of credit card, but bitcoin is the primary method.
In short, if you live in the US, you won't find a better online casino than Ignition.
